Lover Lover - Freebirds (Steve Forte Rio Remix)

Artist: Lover Lover
Track: Freebirds (Steve Forte Rio Remix)
Label: Cross Keys Records

Sick remix (contrary to popular belief, not by Tiesto, but by good friend Steve Forte Rio) of the debut track by Lover Lover off of Cross Keys Records, a UK based pop and folk label. I don't know what it is about the sample that gets me, glitched out vocal samples always have, ever since I first heard Moby back in the day. Her voice in the track has that sultry kind of goodness that lends itself well to soulful house music, or progressive, or trouse, or whatever hell genre this song is. This could be called zoot moon acid ding a dong beats and it wouldn't matter, because it's a good god damn song. Up the BPM a bit and you got yourself a stormer.

Sonique - Feels So Good (Marco V Bootleg Remix) + Marco V - Reaver

Artist: Sonique
Track: Feels So Good (Marco V Bootleg Remix)
Label: Bootleg

I don't know why I'm on such a bad kick of reworks, remixes and song revivals, but Marco V does the damn thing on his booty remix of a Sonique classic. The man just makes hit after hit, anthem after anthem; as is eveident with a bonus track i wanted to include "Reaver" (below).

Kyau & Albert - Velvet Morning (Super8 & Tab Remix) + Andain - Promises (Marco V Remix)

Artist: Kyau & Albert
Track: Velvet Morning (Super8 & Tab Remix)
Label: Ajunabeats

WARNING: This is a trance only post.
I've been holding onto both these songs for a while now and I figure it was time to post them. Both a very different vibe in the trance realm, Kyau & Albert and Super* & Tab and both juggernauts in the faster, uplifting trance arena. While Marco V prefers a darker style of tech trance with big chords and bass line progressions. Each will get your toes tapping in a different way, much like how Josh Gabriel's (Andain's producer) sound is much different than Above and Beyond's sound (Above & Beyond founded Ajunabeats).

Corderoy ft. Yyvonne John- Lewis - Safe From Harm + Narcotic Thrust - Safe From Harm

Artist: Corderoy ft. Yyvonne John-Lewis
Track: Safe From Harm
Label: Napith Music

One the same tip as the last post, another excellent rework of a 10 year old song getting a new twist and gaining new energy. The original by Narcotic Thrust (below) is of course of of those classic club songs that every ones knows, but Yyvonne Jonh-Lewish brings her vocal work back with some techier beats and a harder bass line. In my opinion this is in no way a main room banger, 3 AM hands in the air go nutso track. But it's nice on a Monday to ease yourself back into the week with something familiar that's got a bit of energy behind it.

Artento Divini Presents DTC vs Delerium - Lift Off Silence (Markus Schulz Mashup)

Artist: Artento Divini Presents DTC vs Delerium
Track: Lift Off Silence (Markus Schulz Mashup)
Label: Bootleg

Markus Schulz dropped this little mash up gem at ASOT 500 and again at Global Gathering 2011 in Poland a few weeks ago, and you can hear from the crowd, they went nutso. Obviously one of the most classic trance songs of all time paired of with just a massive banger of "Lift Off" (below), you can't really go wrong. Literally, Lift Off. Welcome to the weekend.

Austin Leeds - Sting + Austin Leeds - Voodoo + Austin Leeds ft. Jeremy Carr - In The Air (Avicii Remix)

Artist: Austin Leeds
Track: Sting
Label: Juicy Music

Solid, solid release form Austin Leeds on Robbie Rivera's Juicy imprint. The Miami native has been around for a while crossing genres of house, progressive house and trouse. His banger of a track with the familiar Prodigy sample "Voodoo" (below) and Avicii's remix of "In The Air" (below) are two great examples of quality tracks Leeds has been putting out recently.

Morgan Page, Sultan + Ned Shepard & BT ft. Angela McCluskey - In The Air

Artist: Morgan Page, Sultan + Ned Shepard & BT ft. Angela McCluskey
Track: In the Air
Label: Nettwerk

There's just something about this song that gets me and is so god damn catchy. On the same tip as Telepopmusik's "Breathe" (below), maybes it's the chilled out vibe, maybe it's Angela McCluskey's voice, maybe its the simplistic, laid back nature of the beat. I'm not really sure considering 3 out of the 4 producers of this song have been putting out bangers recently; especially Sultan and Ned Shepard. Just a real solid beginning or end of your summer night song, sitting outside somewhere sipping on some cocktails finally noticing the stars because they sky is finally dark enough to see. Call me nostalgic.

Grace - Not Over Yet (Max Graham vs Protoculture Remix) + Grace - Not Over Yet (Breeder It Is Now Remix) + Grace - Not Over Yet

Artist: Grace
Track: Not Over Yet (Max Graham vs Protoculture Remix)
Label: Perfecto

Awesome rework by Max Graham and Protoculture of one of the truly classic dance songs from the mid 90's. Grace was a group consisting of Paul Oakenfold, Steve Osbourne and vocalist Dominique Atkins that existed from '93-'97.The Breeder remix (below) was actually one of the first songs that got me into trance and was on the same tape as Cream by Blank and Jones and For An Angel by PvD. Released in 1995, Not Over Yet's piano samples are about as iconic as the sample from Alice Deejay's "Better Off Alone" or Zombie Nation. To hear such a classic brought back from the past and executed so well really is a treat.

(Laidback Luke produced) Example - Natural Disaster + Laidback Luke - Natural Disaster (Instrumental)

Artist: Example
Track: Natural Disaster
Label: Data

The new leak of the Laidback Luke produced Example track "Natural Disaster", a track everyone into dance music has been waiting to be released. The instrumental version (below) has been making its rounds on the club circuit, and for good reason, it's a knock you in the side of the head complete banger. Chances are the vocal version with Example might get pulled from youtube, but while I got it I'm going to keep jamming to it.

Danny Daze - Fall Away From Love

Artist: Danny Daze
Track: Fall Away From Love
Label: Nervous Records

I'm going to take a little left turn and take you to a place where the lights are turned down, people are sipping drinks in booths covered in candles and all the women are extremely, extremely good looking. Even the ugly ones. Groove provided by Miami native of Cuban heritage Danny Daze, makes waves on Nervous Records. Makes sense.

Dirty South & Thomas Gold - Alive + Lady Gaga - Judas (Thomas Gold Remix)

Artist: Dirty South & Thomas Gold
Track: Alive
Label: Defected

Thomas Gold is slowly becoming one of my favorite producers of the moment, he just seems to make that really good, big room track that you always hear in the middle of a SHM or Laidback Luke set. One of those songs that brings everybody to their feet with hands in the air because they know that drop is going to be hard and those strobes are gonna flash. His Adele remix I posted before is easily track of the year in my opinion. Even his remix of in my opinion a shit Gaga track sounds good. Would love to hear the full version of Alive eventually, but for now this preview will work.

Rebecca & Fiona - Bullets (Nause & Adrian Lux Remix) + Original

Artist: Rebecca & Fiona
Track: Bullets (Nause & Andrian Lux Remix)
Label: Pope

Besides being an absolute bomb of a dance floor destroyer, this track has an interesting back story. I don't take this as bible, but enough people all over the interweb have said the same thing so I'll go with the story. Rebecca Scheja and Fiona Fitzpatrick are the preforming vocalists, two of the biggest female DJ's in Sweden. They usually don't actually sing when performing, they just play their own mixes. The two producers who did the remix happen to be their boyfriends, famed Swedish DJ and blog favorite Adrian Lux (Rebecca) and Nause (Fiona).

The original was also produced by Adrian Lux (below), but the remix destroys the original.

Umek & Beltek - Let the Bass Kick

Artist: Umek & Beltek
Track: Let the Bass Kick
Label: Toolroom Records

Absolutely filthy, filthy track to start the week off right now. Umek and Beltek team up again to deliver another one of their signature, dance floor destroyers. High octane, tech beats couple with a nasty break at 3:00 minutes and a devastating drop at 4:00 minutes. High energy, face melting dance music at it's best. 7 minutes of mayhem.

CREEP ft. Romy - Days (Super8 & Tab Remxi) & CREEP ft. Romy - Days

Artist: CREEP ft. Romy
Track: Days (Super8 & Tab Remxi)
Label: Young Turks

In another shining example of excellent production and remix work, Super8 and Tab absolutely kill this track. I listening to the remix version first, then the original, then the remix again. It's like night and day. High energy, great synths, overall top notch trance remix. Welcome to the weekend.

Sander van Doorn - Intro (XX Booty Mix)

Artist: Sander Van Doorn
Track: Intro
Label: Doorn

Wow am I all over Sander's nuts or what? I can't help it, the dude has really made a left turn and started making some amazing tech trance, putting out on of the best albums of the year. I wish there was a bit more of a harder kick, but the full version and vocal samples well more than make up for it.

Alex Metric ft. Charlie XCX - End Of The World

Artist: Alex Metric ft. Charlie XCX
Track: End of the World
Label: Virgin

For some reason this song is just so damn bad ass. Every single thing about this track is just a massive head nodder, you can't even help it, it's like an automatic reaction. The deep bass line, banging drums, the slight dubstep tip without all the wahhh wahhh wahhh garbage that goes along with it. If I still had a car I would find a reason to drive somewhere on a sunny day, with the windows down and my shades on, just to bump the shit out of this song. The worst part is this preview is it cuts out when it gets the height of the song, once a full track has been uploaded you can bet your sweet ass it will be on here.

David Tort, Thomas Gold, David Gausa - Areena (Dirty South Mix)

Artist: David Tort, Thomas Gold, David Gausa
Track:Areena (Dirty South Mix)
Label: Phazing

This track from 2010 has been getting a recent revival on tons of radio shows, not sure why. Ah yes, I remember now, because it's an absolutely off the chain massive banger.

Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, Yves V & Angger Dimas - Madagascar + Art of Trance - Madagascar

Artist: Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, Yves V & Angger Dimas
Track: Madagascar
Label: Smack

It's ben yearrrrrss since I've heard the Art of Trance sample from "Madagascar" (below) used in a song. I will it was built a little bit more into the song here but hearing it has to bring goosebumps to any fan of the classic stuff.

Paul Thomas & Jerome Isma-Ae - Tomorrow (Original Mix) Vs. Age of Love - The Age of Love (Wippenberg Remix) - The Age of Tomorrow (Owen Smith Mashup)

Artist: Paul Thomas & Jerome Isma-Ae Vs. Age of Love
Track: The Age of Tomorrow (Owen Smith Mashup)
Label: Bootleg

One hell of a bootleg mashup coming from DJ Owen Smith here. Taking already one hell of a song and mixing it up with a classic like age of love. The beginning is a bit slow, but about three quarters of the way through when this thing breaks with the vocal samples.....damnnnnn.
