Michael Woods ft. Duvall - Last Day On Earth + NO_ID - How R U Feeling Right Now (Michael Woods Re-Edit)
Artist: Michael Woods
Track: Last Day On
Label: Diffused
I don't know how Michael Woods has done it or how he has become such a fixture in the dance scene since reinventing his sound. I've said it before and I will say it again, everything he touches turns to gold. Give the guy a Casio keyboard and a harmonica and Madonna will be toe tapping asking to sing over the remix. Fuckin guy. However, all credit should be given to NO_ID on the second track, the sampling work really is stellar.

Oui'Wack - Ambushed + Oui'Wack - Jungle Wars + Oui'Wack - Sultan
Oui Wack - Ambushed by dleitz1
Artist: Oui'Wack
Track: Ambushed
Label: PM Music
I'm not really sure what you would categorize this Dutch producers sound as: tribal, techno, world beat, who knows? All I know is that the sound texture of his tracks are absolutely god damn nutso and makes me want to dance naked around a fire somewhere in a jungle. Figuratively speaking.

Avicii & Nicky Romero - FS
Artist: Avicii & Nicky Romero
Track: UNNAMED TRACK aka Fuck School
Label: White
The new bomb ass track from Avicii and Nicky Romero that has been floating around, that Avicii still insists is untitled. Much like with Levels, Avicii has this weird knack of making these massive songs but not releasing them for months after they broke. Dunno why, dude could be a bazillionaire but who knows.

Alex Larichev & Rusty Spica - Digital Sunset
Artist: Alex Larichev & Rusty Spica
Track: Digital Sunset
Label: Levare
Big room trance synths from newcomers Alex Larichev & Rusty Spica off of Flashover imprint. Expect to see this one smack dab in the middle of a lot of full on trance DJ's sets upcoming. Great energy. Welcome to the weekend.

Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks (Robbie Rivera Remix)
Artist: Foster The People
Track: Pumped Up Kicks (Robbie Rivera Remix)
Label: Columbia
Vintage Robbie Rivera sound here on the straight up house remix of Foster the People's hit. He stayed a bit to the progressively trancey side for a minute being signed to Black Hole, but looks like he might be back, doing what he does best.

Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano - Lethal Industry
Artist: Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano
Track: Lethal Industry
Label: Spinnin Records
There have been 100 different remixes and reworks of Tiesto's classic "Lethal Industry", and it's nice to see one taking a completely different direction than just sampling the infamous riff "ding ding ding dingg". Once of my favorites is still Richard Durand's remix, but I'm also a huge fan of the Dutch duo, Sunnery Jame and Ryan Marciano, especially for tracks like this one. Another sold release off of Spinnin.

Bingo Players - MODE + Bingo Players - Tom's Diner + Bingo Players & Chocolate Puma - Touch Me (Bart B More Remix)
Artist: Bingo Players
Track: MODE
Label: Hysteria
New Bingo Players? Don't mind if I do. The build up/break is a little bit long for my taste and for a house song, but who am I right? I wrote about "Cry" back in June, but I kinda miss the old Bingo Players style with straight up and a little bit funky house. See below:

HJM - 222 (Marco V Remix)
Artist: HJM
Track: 222 (Marco V Remix)
Label: Magnificent Records
Marco V, may maaannnn. Anything he touches turns to gold. He has been straddling that borderline of tech-trance and progressive house for a while now, and I'm not even mad, because he kills em both. Welcome to the weekend.

Gareth Emery - Tokyo (Pixel Cheese Remix) + Original
Artist: Gareth Emery
Track: Tokyo
Label: Garuda
I absolutely love this remix of an already amazing song. The Pixel Cheese remix puts that progressive edge on a phenomenal trance song, taking it from one genre to another. Catchy sample with big room chords. Just Awesome.

Emeli Sandé - Daddy (Cyantific Remix)
Artist: Emeli Sandé
Track: Daddy (Cyantific Remix)
Label: Virgin
R&B singer Emeli Sande getting the DnB treatment from Cyantific on this remix. A Hospital Records alum, he puts his typical spin on this headbobber. Sometimes it's nice top have a little change. In my opinion, the good parts begin around 2:40.

Digitalism - Circles (Eric Prydz Remix) + Digitalism - Circles (Jeremy Olander Remix)
Artist: Digitaliism
Track: Circles (Eric Prydz Remix)
Label: Pryda
I'm not really sure which of the two remixes here I like better, because both have their own flavor. To have Prydz remix your song is and absolute blessing and almost guaranteeing airplay, but its something about Jeremy Oldander's remix that's a bit more of a dancey toe tapper. I'm not sure, you be the judge.

Tim Mason - Anima + Tim Mason - The Moment (Steve Angello Short Edit)
Artist: Tim Mason
Track: Anima
Label: Size Records
Tim Mason is slowly creeping up my list (much as Thomas Gold did), and becoming a go-to progressive house producer and remixer. His remix of Lucids's "I Can't Help Myself" (which I posted previous) was phenomenal. His debut track "The Moment" (below) was burning up every progressive house DJ's sets all summer. As a member of the Size Records family and thus Steve Angello's protege, I'm interested to see where he's going.

AN21 & Max Vangeli ft. Example - Whisper + AN21 & Max Vangeli vs Tiesto - People Of The Night
Artist: AN21 & Max Vangeli ft. Example
Track: Whisper
Label: Size
Two amazing tracks from production and DJ duo AN21 "pronounced An-twan" (Steve Angello's little brother) and Max Vangelli. I've posted about these guys before, but it really seems like they are on the verge of becoming superstars and perhaps the next breed of Swedish House Mafia? With their artist album coming out soon including productions with some heavy hitters (below), it sounds like it's going to be quite the record. Welcome to the weekend.

Kaskade - Eyes + Kaskade ft. Rebecca & Fiona - Turn it Down + Kaskade - Llove
Artist: Kaskade ft. Mindy Gledhill
Track: Eyes
Label: Ultra
"Fire and Ice", Kaskade's new artist album was released a little bit ago and these are my favorite cuts off it it. Kaskade is just a different breed of artist and DJ. His original productions are just absolutely beautiful and melodic verging on contemplative and whimsical. And that's where the really interesting thing comes in. When you go to a Kaskade show you're thinking "oh wow, tonights gonna be a great night. Just a really chill loungey vibe with some awesome vocal stuff. No hard dancers on the floor, just a really good chill time" And then you get there and Kaskade melts your face off with some serious beats. His live sets have some of the most pounding basslines I've heard. The man knows what he's doing and should be celebrated for it. Great new album.

Coldplay - Paradise (Fedde le Grand Remix) + Coldplay - The Scientist (Maarten De Jong Bootleg)
Artist: Coldplay
Track: Paradise (Fedde le Grand Remix)
Label: EMI
Wow. Two huge songs and remixes of Coldplay, one old and one new. Fedde le Grand absolutely murders "Paradise" with his own blend of big room progressive house. One the other end of the spectrum, Maarten De Jong just blasssttss away the mellow vibe of "The Scientist" (below) with HIS special blend of tech trance. Both songs are ridiculous stormers in their own way, both of which I immensely enjoy.
Artist: Coldplay
Track: The Scientist (Maarten De Jong Bootleg)

Deadmau5 - Aural Psynapse (2nd Edit) + Original
Artist: Deadmau5
Track: Aural Psynapse (2nd Edit)
Label: mau5trap
New mau5, straight off his essential mix and apparently the next single to drop. An amazing reedit of an older track from 2005, its both an banger and beautiful at the same time. He brings the same quality of sound that Prydz has on all of his tracks to this one. I will say I'm not the biggest fan of his music, but he puts out consistent tracks (when he's not making shitty dubstep). He truly is an artist and an individual so you can't fault him for that.
Artist: Deadmau5
Track: Aural Psynapse

Kryder & Moatesart - Transforma
Artist: Kryder & Moatesart
Track: Transforma
Label: white
Kryder is becoming a household name in the European house scene, literally coming out of nowhere with K2 and now dropping this little stormer. Not even sure when it's supposed to be released or on what label, but he's making a little showing of it.

The Killers - Mr Brightside (Marco V Treatment) + The Killers - Mr.Brightside (Jacques Lu Cont Mix)
Artist: The Killers
Track: Mr. Brightside (Marco V Treatment)
Label: Bootleg
Wow. Marco V fully puts his stamp on a classic Killers song, mixing in aspects of his own tech trance style to create an even more layered and lush soundscape. In my opinion, far superior to the (now) second best remix of this song (below) by the amazing Thin White Duke himself. Welcome to the weekend.
Artist: The Killers
Track: Mr. Brightside (Jacques Lu Cont Mix)
Label: Island

Baskerville, Henzel & Disco Nova - GIMME 5
Artist: Baskerville, Henzel & Disco Nova
Track: GIMME 5 (teaser)
Label: Secure Recordings
Awesome, awesome, awesome, high energy track from a previous favorite post, Baskerville along with Hanzel and Disco Nova. Watching the teaser music video (below) really puts the energy of the song into context and is completely infectious. I know this is a bit more techno than people are used to, but you can't not have fun with this song.

William Naraine - If I Could Fall (Jean Elan Remix) + Original + Jean Elan ft. Cosmo Klein - Feel Alive
Artist: William Naraine
Track: If I Could Fall (Jean Elan Remix)
Label: Zouk
Masterfully done remix by Jean Elan here to make this song actually danceable. The original is pretty good, a little bit soft though, and lacking that bit of......edge. Gave it a slight Thomas Gold buildup sound. The original is very early 1990's Depeche Mode sexy, like I'm not even really sure what year it is anymore while listening to it. I'm not sure if a guy in leather gloves with the fingers cut out is going to pop out of nowhere wearing acid washed jeans and aviators. It is on Zouk Recordings, which is like the sexy, vocal imprint of Armada, but come on. And Jean Elan is very euro-house to begin with, so.....maybe that's why I'm even more surprised how this remix turned out. Either way, definitely for the better

Levantina - We're Gonna Start + Passenger 10 - Hit the Ground Running
Artist: Levantina
Track: We're Gonna Start
Label: Unreleased Digital
Big room, electro house here off of the Unreleased Digital imprint from Levantina and Passenger 10 aka Chris Reece. Just absolutely massive synths and beats capitalizing on what has become very much the sound of now. Along with Spinnin, Unreleased Digital may be the next ones on the list doing it best.

Track: Hit the Ground Running
Label: Unreleased Digital
